Natural Wreath Decorating Workshop in Charleston, South Carolina

How can we create a cozy Christmas for our friends and family this year? I think we all look forward to the slower season at the end of the year where we spend time with our closest friends and family. Whether its baking or crafting, I love to keep my hands busy on those short, dark days of the year.

What sounds cozy to me right now? Puzzles, candle light, Christmas movies, and baked goods!

We are excited to offer our Wreath-making Workshop again this year at the delightful Christophe's Macaron et Chocolat bakery in West Ashley.

Inspiration From Scandinavia

Can we take inspiration from Scandi culture to create a cozy Christmas this year? I believe we can. Starting with the trendy term Hygge. This Danish word is pronounced "hooga," and it promotes slowing down and enjoying life.

From Oxford Languages, it translates to "a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being."

According to denmark.de, "Hygge is about taking time away from the daily rush to be together with people you care about - or even by yourself - to relax and enjoy life's quieter pleasures." We learn that wintertime is the ideal time to practice hygge with your loved ones.

Gather a dear friend or family member and create something together with your hands. My fondest Christmas memories as a child center around baking with my mom. She would make dozens of family recipes to share with coworkers and neighbors. She is famous in our family for making fruitcake--her grandmother's recipe.

This year we are launching a brand new workshop--Scandi Gingerbread Centerpiece Workshop.

Experience Based Gifts

Experience based gifts mean lasting memories with the special people in your life. Many people are finding that experiences also boost good feelings in relationships. Personally, I love doing a new craft or taking a cooking class when I travel. Those are often my best memories of a new place.

As an artist, I enjoy creating one-of-a-kind painted gifts like portraits and ornaments. The holiday season is a great time to think about gifting experiences instead of physical items.

Corporate Gifting Ideas

Host a one-of-a-kind wreath making event for your employees this Christmas. Our workshops are great for beginners. Once hands get busy adorning wreaths, conversations flow!

According to the corporate gifting guide at Awardco.com, corporate gifting is a time to show appreciation and boost morale of the team.

"Offer unique experiences like concert tickets or cooking classes for a memorable and personalized touch."

Now more than ever, people are striving to build relationships with employees and clients.

Forbes.com presents some ideas on corporate gifting and offers this list on how gifting impacts employee morale

  1. Recognition and Appreciation
  2. Enhancing Company Culture
  3. Motivation and Engagement

We can come to your office or location to curate a special wreath making experience. We will bring all equipment and supplies.
