These friends celebrated the bride with a tea party on the farm. Each guest chose her own flowers for a mini bouquet. They arranged the blooms while they enjoyed tea and treats at a garden party style activity.
Our Charleston flower farm is located on Johns Island--not far from downtown Charleston and the beaches. We are just a few miles from Kiawah and Seabrook islands.
Charleston makes a great spot for a southern bachelorette party with shopping, historic sightseeing, and outdoor adventures. We love to recommend a long walk on the battery in downtown Charleston to take in all the colorful houses and gardens. Our favorite beaches are Sullivan's Island for a relaxing vibe, and Folly Beach for a lively, hippy feel. We are in the heart of Johns Island that hosts the beautiful Angel Oak tree. There are some great boat tours available to get out on the water, and kayaking can be such a fun option.
Pick your own flowers is a popular activity on our farm. Join us in our cutting garden to pick your favorite blooms, then create an arrangement to take home. We suggest cutting longer stems to start with and striping the leaves off as you go. Next you can lay out your choices and make your arrangement. Floral design encourages picking different shapes and textures for interest in your arrangement.
A bachelorette party comes to our flower farm to make their own arrangements. The classic instructions : choose a spike flower, focal flower, filler and greenery. We grow sunflowers, cosmos, zinnias, dahlias, gomphrena, lemon basil, and celosia in the warmer months.
Fresh, local flowers will last longer at home. You can trim the ends of the stems and change the water after a couple of days to help extend the life of your flowers.
This bride and her bridesmaids chose a bright and bold color palette to create their arrangements. Green amaranth makes a dramatic drape for the bouquets. You can pick your own flowers for your rehearsal dinner or the big day!
We are planting flowers in the white, blush pink palette for spring and brighter colors for summer and fall. Sunflowers are a favorite all year. Dahlias make a great focal flower in an arrangement.
