The end of the year is a great time to plan and look forward to flowers in full bloom again. There may be frost on the field now, but very soon green sprouts will be popping up to cheer us.

2026 Floral Workshops

Take a look at our list of projected workshops specializing in flowers and painting for 2026. We will keep our dates and times updated as we get closer to the flower season.

Our workshops are based upon picking your own flowers on our flower farm in Charleston, South Carolina.

Easter Centerpiece Workshop : Floral Cabbage Arrangement Class

Add some whimsy to your Easter dinner with a cabbage floral arrangement. Enjoy early spring flowers like sweet peas, snapdragons, and calendula. Choose your blooms to add to a one-of-a-kind floral arrangement. Then we will prepare the base--a fresh spring cabbage! Arrange your blooms inside and take home a spring inspired centerpiece.

When: Saturday April 4th, 2026 at 3pm

Price: $75 per person

Who: Ages 8 and up

What: 2 hour workshop, Pick your own flowers, floral arranging lesson, create a centerpiece

Mother's Day U-Pick Flowers & Tea Party

Join us for Mother's Day weekend in Charleston, South Carolina. We will be offering two types of you pick flowers this weekend. Come and pick your own arrangement to gift to mom, or book our special tea party ticket. The tea party will include flower picking, and arranging plus a special tea party with treats.

When: Mother's Day Weekend 2026 - May 8-10, 2026

Where: Good Fruit Farm at 3959 River Rd. Johns Island, SC. Nearby downtown Charleston, SC and Kiawah Island.

Who: Family friendly event - All ages

Price: Upick tickets $8 for kids, $20 for adults. Tea Party tickets price TBD

Floral Arranging Workshops

Join us on our flower farm on Johns Island, SC for a unique floral arranging workshop. Farmer & Artist, Sarah, will lead the class using her skills gleaned from years of painting. Color theory & design are important in creating a beautiful arrangement

Who: Beginners to experienced arrangers welcome.

First Annual Floral Design Competition

Join us for a bloom battle in Charleston, South Carolina!

This is for anyone who arranges flowers for a hobby, or for free for friends. If you are a florist or have a floral design business, you can email Sarah at goodfruitfarmllc@gmail.com to sign up in the professional category.

What: Floral Design Competition

When : Thursday, May 14th, 2026 in the evening

Where : Hosted at The Waverly located at 94 Stuart St, Charleston, SC 29403.

Ticket Includes :

• Fresh flowers & ingredients grown in South Carolina
  
• Bouquet making supplies
• Ceramic Vessel
• Prizes for winners
  

Who: This ticket is for amateur floral designers, anyone who likes to arrange flowers as a hobby. 

How Much: To compete in Bloom Battle there is a fee of $50.

Attendance is free for anyone who would like to watch the competition.

Things to Note:

Bloom Battle is a design competition that will use only locally grown ingredients from farms in the Charleston area. This competition will create a fun and unique opportunity for floral enthusiasts to meet their farmers. 

Cut Flower Garden Summer U-Pick Dates

We are excited to offer you pick flowers in the summer of 2026. Once our dates are listed you will be able to find them here. This is our most popular activity especially for families and girl's trips to Charleston.

We enjoy teaching the basics of floral design. Read our latest blog before you visit so you can plan ahead on what time of arrangements you would like to make. We also offer floral design workshops throughout the year.

This summer we will be celebrating our great nation's semiquincentennial 

On July 4, 2026, our nation will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

We are excited to offer a patriotic mix of red, white, and blue flowers to make your own bouquet.

Fall Workshops

We will also be offering several Fall workshops that integrate dried flowers and Thanksgiving centerpieces. Stay tuned for more details on dates.

Our Christmas Wreath workshops are an all time favorite. We offer on site classes for office parties and private events.
